Stonebridge East

Stonebridge East will become a 55 acre development on the east side of Cleveland and North side of Chestnut at the northeast corner of Cleveland and Chestnut in Enid, Okla.

The development will feature a combination of commercial land opportunity and single family residential homes.

The single family residential area will feature the opportunity to down size and build a home with desired amenities from 1200 square feet and up. There will be areas also to build larger homes.

The commercial area will include several acres of land across from the new Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market and the new 200 unit apartment complex named Esplanade. Stonebridge East will have protective covenants as well.

NEWS UPDATE (from Enid News & Eagle, August 4, 2017)

The Stonebridge development near the intersection of Cleveland and Chestnut took another step forward earlier this week when Enid City Commission approved a Planned Unit Development for Stonebridge East.

The 48.63-acre piece of land located northeast of the Chestnut and Cleveland intersection will be a mixed-use development, with office, retail, single-family and townhome units.

“This Planned Unit Development represents a response to the continuing demands for different types of housing and commercial services in this rapidly expanding community,” a design statement said.

The design statement further said the intent of the PUD is to provide housing options for families, young adults, single parents, seniors, grandparents and more, and that by providing more options, development and construction happen faster and more efficiently.

The Stonebridge development has been going on for several years. One of the most visible projects has been the Walmart Neighborhood Market, which opened in May 2015. In addition, Stonebridge Plaza, which features T&C Meats, Supercuts, Rose Rock Orthodontics and Dandy’s Donuts, Deli, Delights.

Just to the north of the retail development is Esplanade Apartments at Stonebridge, which features 200 one-, two- and three-bedroom units.

Also included are a maintenance and car wash building, a mail center, trash compactor, carports, a clubhouse and pool.

There also are houses being built just to the west of the Neighborhood Market and Stonebridge Plaza.

The development has been going on for years, and we won’t see its completion for several more years, but we like to see this kind of project in Enid, one that combines residential and retail.
